How can the area of a shape be determined by throwing darts randomly at a rectangular dartboard with known area?

Instructions

Select a shape from the SHAPE menu.
Click on Throw Dart(s) to see how many darts hit the shape.
You can change the speed by choosing FAST from the OPTIONS menu. You can also turn off the sound or throwing darts multiple times in the OPTIONS menu.
To set the number of times to throw a dart, enter the number in the # of darts in a run input area at the top. Be sure to press return when you are finished entering your number.
