Connected Mathematics 2 provides eight student units for each grade. One additional unit is offered for each grade from the first edition, 2004. Each unit is organized around an important mathematical idea. The Teacher's Guides for CMP are designed as a resource to provide teachers with an understanding of the mathematical content and ways to think about enacting problem-centered teaching.
In addition to the 24 students units and Teachers Guides, CMP2 includes Additional Practice and Skills Workbooks, Assessment Resources, Teaching Transparencies, Manipulative Kits, a Special Needs Handbook for Teachers, and a Parent Guide. Technology components include CD-ROMS for assessment, lesson planning and student activities.
